BLACK SWAN (But I Know There is More to Life) – Pink Turns Blue

Categories: Audio, Rock, Song, Spotify, The Latest, Video, Youtube|Tags: , , , , , |

Lyrics of Pink Turns Blue – BLACK SWAN (But I Know There is More to Life)

While I do feel ok
Have many good friends
Have a really good time at times

While I travel the earth
See the wonders of world
Chill in the sunshine

Fancy reading and learning
Understand the universe
Make a living alright

Seems like nothing’s missing
I can make ends meet
While I’m biding my time

But I Know There Is More to Life

When I look around
See people passing
A face of despair

When I look at you
Can see your sad eyes
In search of substance

There might be many ways
To cope with boredom
Or mere exhaustion

There might be many ways
To entertain
Or numb the senses

But I Know There Is More to Life

I’m trying hard
Not to waste my time
With too easy lies

I’m trying hard
To make sense of it all
Without excuses

I’m trying hard
To make a difference
Leave a mark in this world

I try to be part
Of something useful
Of any relevance

Cause I Know There Is More to Life

QUITE SIMPLE
Written by Olivia Reid ( contact@oliviareid.com)
© 2024 Olivia Reid and Breeze Street Media, LLC

See an old man walkin,
And suddenly we’re talkin’,
He tells stories of his days in Rome,
He’s wandered Spain and swam in Greece
And tasted Japanese cuisine
And studied archeology in the tombs

So I had to ask, man
How’d you manage all that?
He tossed his head back and laughed

Said it’s really quite simple
It’s really quite easy
It’s really quite open
open-ended and free
When nobody’s come for ya, no
Nobody’s gonna say, you’re doin’ it wrong
It’s really quite long, this life
And everything comes with time

(ooo)

So I left him thinkin,
How heavy I’d been sinkin,
Trying to hold the whole world to my chest
My mind is a windmill spinning
With no end and no beginning,
Thinking every day has to be my best
Will it come to pass,
When I stop all that,
And toss my head back and laugh

Say it’s really quite simple
It’s really quite easy
It’s really quite open
Open ended and free
Nobody’s come for me, no
Nobody gonna say, I’m doin’ it wrong
It’s really quite long, this life
And everything comes with time

(ooo)

Lyrics of Eastcliff – Kaleidoscope

How has it been, Delicate skin
Living in your soft pink world
Has it been warm, after the storm?
Or is it a cold sun swell?

Patterns in the sand, did it go as planned?
Or was it all just washed away

I’m sorry I never wrote you a love song
Until you were already gone
But look how the light shines through
My kaleidoscope of colors for you

Among the shattered glass
I hope you find a rainbow
And glue it all back together
Look how the light shines through
Kaleidoscope of colors
That’s my love for you

I’m sorry I never wrote you a love song
Until you were already gone
But look how the light shines through
My kaleidoscope of colors for you

You know we’re all gonna shine
With the light of the new sun rise
You know we’re all gonna shine
Shine, Shine, Shine

Lyrics of Orange Glow – Dark Horse

Where are you now, breathing still?
There’s death on your trail, so you run (please run)
You are all alone, they just don’t understand
You might find a place to hide, but there is no one

And anyone that you find
They can try, (but) you will hide
You’re a dark horse, running wild

Your rough edges, they don’t scare demons
Take your time, it’s your friend (your very best friend)
Fight your demons, gain some faith
Don’t give up, don’t you dare, I’ll be there

But anyone that you find
I can try, you will hide
You’re a dark horse, running wild

Anyone that you find
They can try, you will hide
You’re a dark horse, running wild

into the night
into the night

The meteorological winter starts on December 1 with a new single by Dutch indie pop ‘veteran’ Orange Glow. The song ‘Dark Horse’ is the first of four singles, all linked to the next season. After the series of singles an entire album will follow at the end of 2025, to complete the comeback of this alternative singer-songwriter. Therefore he is working together with the American producer TW Walsh.

The intimate Dark Horse captures the heart of winter with acoustic guitar, cello and double vocals. A melancholy, warm resting point in the stillness of winter. In this way Orange Glow breaks a radio silence of six years, in which no new music appeared, due to a line-up change and then the corona crisis. He used this period to build his own studio in the ‘middle of nowhere’ in the north of Holland. There he wrote all the songs for the new album. The singles appear at the beginning of each season (December 1, March 1, June 1 and September 1) on all streaming services.

Back to the roots
Musically Orange Glow returns to his roots now: intimate and layered indie pop, which can also be found on debut album ‘the Magic Tale’ (2008). Also written in the nature and tranquility of the north of Holland. After that, the songwriter lived in the city for twelve years and delivered two more albums. The idiosyncratic albums and live performances earned Orange Glow the title of ‘Pearl of the underground’ in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2023, only an EP with unreleased older songs was released.

On the new material, Orange Glow is accompanied by a variety of musicians. He was helped in the recordings by producer TW Walsh (Pedro the Lion, Sufjan Stevens and The Shins) who did the mastering.
In addition to Orange Glow, a second band has now emerged, the new psychedelic (krautrock) group Red Uzum. The first releases of this will also appear in 2025.
