“The right soundtrack to laid back in this well tight lounge atmospheric production by Moonsum. Sweet lofi beats, gently keys and minimal guitar layering offer you the right background music. ”

-Nagamag.com

Language of the World is a smooth jazzhop beat (played ony my trusty Fender strat) released with Effortless Audio. The beat and title are inspired by the book ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. One of my favourite books of all time and a source of inspiration. Music to me is the language of the world and is universally understood by everyone.

“Pay attention here and not been fooled by the fast breaks intro, after first 20 seconds dives into a chill mood sensation delivering warm atmospheres with each new layer added and explode to a fine piece once piano hits and warm vocals enter. A wonderful drum & bass with laid back aesthetics.”

With 4AM KRU at the production helm, their remix of SHANTÉH’s popular track KING is infused with nostalgic UK rave & jungle flavour. The trio of artist’s intentions being to shine a light on London’s ‘jungle’ genre from their childhood, that has since been marginalized as ‘aggressive drum & bass’.

Nagamag:
What are the genres that describe better your music style?

Obsqure:
I would say a mixture of downtempo, chill-out, some future garage vibes, Trip-hop with an oriental touch.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

Obsqure:
i had a few years of music theory when i was a kid. i also was a cello player. i didn't follow up the line because of my studies and sports. At some time i had to choose between being a professional swimmer and a musician. i went for swimming but i have never really stopped listening to music and digging very deep into it. i remember listening to different kind of music on the radio and trying to dismantle every track even though i wasn't into music composition yet, i had my own way of listening individually to the sounds and different tracks in a song. i was already analyzing songs structures and melodies without even knowing it.
i remember getting a trial version of FL Studio (Called Fruity Loops Studio at that time) in a CD-Rom. i was 11 years old and very curious. And that's where the story begins.
i went by different nicknames, the normal curriculum of any artist i guess, i composed different music styles mainly House Music and groovy stuff like Tech-House, Deep-House and Progressive House. i began afterward looking for a specific artistic identity and things lead me to what i am doing now.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Obsqure:
i grew up in a musical atmosphere, listening to vast amount of varied music. i am also brother to a music teacher and a nephew to a couple of drummers. i had to be in the music industry by any means.

Nagamag:
Most artists have a favorite song from a different music genre than the one they are producing music for... Which is yours?

Obsqure:
Reflekt Feat. Delline Bass "Need To Feel Loved"

Nagamag:
Of Course Nagamag would love to listen also which track from a similar artist you admire?

Obsqure:
Massive Attack "Antistar"

NOTI – lympha (Video)

Categories: Chillout Features, Features, Jazz, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , |

“guitar, keys, beats, it may sounds easy for most but few really wants how to catch the right harmonic vibes, tell a right story, mix fine and leave you with a taste of a sweet memorable vibes, well one of those few artists are and Noti with his track Lympha at Radicalis. Among the many similar music we receive, among the thousand releases daily in the genre, few have the right bliss in harmonics and mix. Well done!”

-Nagamag.com

Benjamin Noti is a Basel-based producer and musician. He has worked with Audio Dope, Steff la Cheffe, The Rumours, Greis, Noti Wümié, Manillio, Anna Rossinelli, James Gruntz, Sam Himself, and the Basel Symphony Orchestra, among many others.

easing is Noti’s first instrumental solo-production. The recent lockdown afforded the highly sought-after songwriter and instrumentalist an opportunity to craft this production at his home studio. The 5-song EP showcases Noti’s wide-ranging abilities as a songwriter and musician, and draws on his rich experience as a fixture in the Swiss scene. Noti’s diverse influences, unified by his distinct, original style, shine through on lead single “85km/h”; an ode to poised motion, the track pulsates, subtly speeds up and slows down but remains ultimately unstoppable – much like the artist himself.

Passmore – A Song for Your Beach Holiday (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“A Song For Your Beach Holidays by Passmore at Lost Nights guides you through its lounge lofi house paths, to a laid back oasis where there is nothing to stress about. Soft as feather layering, warm harmonics and solid low provide a luxurious listen experience.”

-Nagamag.com

Passmore is the alias of David Lloyd, also known as Dave Oscillation - co-founder of Edinburgh's Lost Oscillation Studios. Following his formative years at a classical music school, his early career in music saw him develop a fascination for sound - in the technical and creative processes which go into developing a finished piece of recorded music. He formed Stillhound, a live electronic band with two school friends and over the coming years, the three honed their skills in music production by recording and mixing all of their own music, with Lloyd frequently at the helm. Realising a desire to release his own productions individually, he developed the Passmore alias out of a retired family name and released his debut EP on 12" vinyl with Lionoil Industries. Lloyd's music can best be described by a strong lean towards creating clean, organic-sounding electronic music. His aim with his productions is to blend between electronic and acoustic sound-sources, while attempting to manipulate the electronic sources to sound as if they to were plucked, hit or bowed on an acoustic instrument. He endeavours to blend the musicality he developed in his classical training, with the repetitive, industrial and relentless nature of electronic music.

Prismatic Mantis – Ball of Light (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, Rock, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“Brilliant sound design which breaths and lush layering of many influences, acoustic instruments and synths, from electronica chill to rock and the positive sensational vocals, all together giving a strong sound experience and with listeners who love the details a place where details are full and with more listens you discover more.”

-Nagamag.com

"Ball of Light" is a sonic exposition to remind us of our unified origin. Production began in 2014 and has just been released. Self produced and refined to precise measurements, this Alt-Pop track is somehow in 15/8 and presents as an electronica chill out while also utilizing Math/Indie Rock principles. It ponders the Magical Force that this world fits within. We all share the same desire to ultimately feel peaceful, joyful, and creative. To be in a state of inspiration; in spirit... May this track reach far and wide to spread this positive message and provide inspiration to many.

The sonic vision of Prismatic Mantis, the moniker of multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Mark Reynolds, is one that is impossible to pin succinctly down. Strongly influenced by Nature, Sacred Geometry and the Cosmos, Reynolds’ homogeneously progressive material flickers between downtempo electronica and slightly left-of-center fusion rock.
