Aiguille – Day and Night (Bandcamp)

Categories: Audio, Electronica, Post|Tags: , , |

Time is split in half. Half day and half night. Aiguille’s cohesive EP begins with the sun: “Daylight” and “Daydream”. We hear birds, running water, the globe in motion. “Day and Night”, the third track, satisfies the symmetry and sees the setting sun. The welcoming of the moon. The project’s final two tracks, “Nightfall” and “Nightglow”, expose the evening. We hear the twilight echoes. The animals active in the trees. It’s a rhythmic experience, enjoying 24 hours in under 15 minutes.

Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid – Same Prayer
(Spotify)

Chronixx provides a pillar of strength and hope on “Same Prayer,” a benediction that carries a universal message throughout life's ups and downs. Fellow Jamaican lyricist Kabaka Pyramid complements the song with a verse echoing his sentiment. Following “Dela Move,” “Same Prayer” is the second reveal from Chronixx’s upcoming sophomore album Dela Splash, which is slated for release later this year. The Zion I Kings produced track is available now via Soul Circle Music and will feature an accompanying visual next week.

The song rings true with today's tumultuous times, "There’s so much good in the world and still evil a lurk. In the darkness a night, Jah protect I and I from the ones who nuh care about the fact that we share the same air and the blood that we bleed is alike," Chronixx laments in the third verse. The powerful message follows in the chorus, "and when I troddin in the streets today, please Jah Jah never leave my side. And everyday the same prayer I say and I’m saying it one more time. Trodding in the streets I pray Jah Jah beg yuh please, never lef I an I, oh never leave I an I."

Chronixx explains, “Same Prayer is, in part, a prayer for the younger generation to reflect on internally. It’s also a reminder that there is a greater power directing things in the physical space. Instead of looking for solutions in our material lives, we can both reach out to this higher power and look deep within ourselves.”

Sbeady – Rise from Your Drama
(Spotify)

Melodic string beat wfrom first instrumental album "Sbeady",
the right vibes to groove and chill under a positive funky outlook.

About the artist:
It all began in 2002, when Sbeady visited a good friend who was all into hip hop, graffiti and beat making. He saw a Zoom RT-234 drum computer lying on the floor and gave it a try.

He was immediately fascinated by creating own sounds, grooves and music this way. Over the years, the urge to improve and refine his skills was driven by his love for electronic music.

Sbeady adds a personal touch to every one of his beats with his experience, knowledge of the craft or by simply using his intuition, trying to not only broadcast sound, but to communicate feeling.

Despite having a unique way of expressing himself and always trying new & creative things, he always tries to serve the music by understanding the mood of the composition.

The pure love of creating music keeps Sbeady going until today…
