Warm Ears Music continues to expand its roster as they release a new single, “Solar” from German producer Deskai.

Deskai produces a wide array of electronic music but is no stranger to the DnB scene; he’s been bringing his atmospheric and jungle inspired creations to life in his Berlin based studio since 2005, where he is also a Mix & Mastering Engineer.

“Solar” is a two-track single within which Deskai captures two distinct and recognisable moods from the early days; laid back Jazz infused Breakbeats, and soulful yet reflective Drum & Bass. These are not peak energy, hard hitting tunes; rather they are carefully constructed grooves reminiscent of the intelligent DnB era.

Whilst the label loves big dance floor tunes, they will always represent the roots of the genre. Warm Ears Music is always looking to shine light on music that inspires, which Deskai brings in bags.

Released on 16 October, ‘Remedy’ is the third single from Dimension’s forthcoming debut album. ‘Remedy’features vocals from future star TS Graye, and was co-written by renowned singer-songwriter Raye, who has previously worked on Dimension singles ‘Desire’ and ‘Black Church’. The forthcoming music video was shot on location in Mont Saint-Michel, France.

‘Remedy’ follows ‘Saviour’, which was co-written with Jem Cooke (Camelphat ‘Breathe’) and features Sharlene Hector. Released in the summer, ‘Saviour’ has had in excess of 3 million global streams, was made Tune Of The Week on BBC Radio 1, featured on Spotify playlists New Music Friday UK, Massive Dance Hits, and saw Dimension grace the cover of New Dance Revolution. Two more singles will be released before the album in February 2021.

With touring on hold in 2020 due to the pandemic, Dimension celebrated the release of ‘Saviour’ with a special livestream event featuring top of the range production from a secret UK venue. The close of 2019 saw him unveil DIMENSION LIVE, his sold-out debut live show at London’s prestigious Electric Brixton that attracted critical acclaim from Mixmag, RA, DJ Mag, Red Bull, and beyond. The first immersive, multi-sensory experience in dance music, the show debuted Dimension’s showpiece glass mechanical structure - the centrepiece of a production that included a 50-piece state-of-the-art lighting system, laser walls, the largest ever LED screen to be installed in the venue, pyrotechnics and for the first time in a live music environment, scentology.

Followed closely by his debut BBC Radio One Essential Mix, DIMENSION LIVE capped 12 months that began with the success of ‘Desire’, his collaboration with Sub Focus. The record’s list of achievements is near endless; it spent 9 weeks on Radio 1’s playlist (5 on the A-list), has amassed over 50 million global streams to date and has been certified a silver single in the UK by BPI (200,000 sales). Following ‘Desire’ came Dimension’s next string of solo releases, ‘Devotion’ featuring Cameron Hayes, ‘If You Want To’ and ‘Love To Give’ which all rapidly picked up midweek Annie Mac support alongside BBC Radio 1 plays from Phil Taggart’s Hype Chart, Mistajam and Rene LaVice; and together, combining in over 20 million global streams to date.

On the live front, having begun last summer at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Dimension toured worldwide including Australia and New Zealand, North America and a return to Ibiza for another Amnesia residency at Together. Other notable appearances included Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Creamfields, EDC Las Vegas, Audioriver, Dreambeach, and Beats For Love. Further shows will be announced in due course, which will include a headline LIVE show at the groundbreaking Printworks London.

Dimension’s combination of seemingly effortless musicality and production prowess first caught the attention of producers and DJs such as Andy C, Sub Focus, Chase & Status, Annie Mac (5x Hottest Records), Skrillex (who remixed the much-lauded ‘UK’), and deadmau5. What was once one of dance music’s best kept secrets, but now with a rapidly growing global profile, Dimension is fast becoming one of the UK’s most notable – and intriguing – artists.

Sounds impossible? That´s exactly what Camo & Krooked + Mefjus did for their new Single “No Tomorrow” which is the first release of their upcoming “No Tomorrow EP”

Three drum & bass powerhouses collide as Camo & Krooked & Mefjus team up on their latest glitched out anthem ‘No Tomorrow’ featuring the sultry vocals of Sophie Lindinger (Leyya) - an unmatchable four-way showcase of some of Austria’s finest musical talent. With the three titan’s last collaboration ‘Kallisto’ on Hospital Records taking the electronic music scene by storm last summer with impeccable sound design and mind-warping basslines, Camo & Krooked & Mefjus have outdone themselves once more as ‘No Tomorrow’ plunges deep into the depths of twisted drum & bass sonics.

Elobrian Sunrise with this amazing minimal yet solid drum & bass offer us a laid back experience - not be fooled by the tempo and the drum and bass breaks - with soulful strings and vocal samples, engaging a wonderful relaxing atmosphere to soundtrack your moments in the background.”

In 2018, German producer, Elobrian Sunrise, teamed up with Texas based label, SVNSET WAVES and stunned listeners with his debut album, “Secret Garden”, a gorgeous collection of jazz & hip-hop influenced dreamy electronic tunes. His unique sound and easy-listening vibe earned the German artist over a million streams on Spotify. Since then, he has released a number of EP’s and beat tapes, but in October of 2020, Elobrian Sunrise teams up with SVNSET WAVES yet again to bring a new EP, along with a new sound, to listeners. Although still heavily inspired by hip-hop and jazz, EloSun’s new 4-track EP, “From The Heart”, leans towards a new direction - Drum & Bass. “’From The Heart’ started with my vision to create a drum & bass release that is not only for the dance-floors, but also for the listening experience at home”. Throughout the EP, Elobrian Sunrise teams up with multiple jazz musicians he met during his time studying composition at The Folkwang University of Arts. This collection of works is strikingly unique, fresh, and undeniably entrancing - all delivered “from the heart”.

High Contrast – Rhythm Is Changing (feat. LOWES) (Video)

Categories: Electronica, The Latest, Video|Tags: , |

“There is so much nostalgia in this up to date production drum and bass breaks with old school vibes and a memorable retro piano melodic line which takes us back to the days when the music was fresh and the vibes were pure. When there was one genre – Good Rave Music!”

-Nagamag.com

Welsh-born electronic musician, producer, DJ and remixer Lincoln Barrett AKA High Contrast is the master of melodic, melancholic jungle: hardcore with a harmonic core. Since releasing his last single Time Is Hardcore (feat. Kae Tempest & Anita Blay), he has been picked up by renowned publications such as Line of Best Fit, NME and Clash Magazine.

Time is Hardcore (feat. Kae Tempest & Anita Blay) received huge support on radio including adds across BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, 1Xtra and KISS FRESH. The track was also Radio 1’s Adele Roberts and 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq’s Records Of The Week.

The single was added across all DSPs landing a number of playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday UK, Massive Dance Hits, You Can Do It & New Dance Revolution, Apple Music’s New Music Daily, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Shazam’s UK Dance Risers as well as Antipode’s playlist in 165 countries. The track also was added to Deezer’s Brand New UK playlist as well as Amazon’s Brand New Music, Drum & Bass Now, Fresh Dance and Best of The Month.

Now High Contrast is back with club-banger Rhythm Is Changing (feat. LOWES):

“I was inspired by proto-jungle / hardcore records from the early 90s by the likes of The House Crew that had a seemingly ever changing structure with frequent switches and variations, an approach I hadn’t heard in many recent tracks. I balanced this potentially hectic structure out by keeping the elements beyond the drums and bass in the tune to the essentials – big piano riff, haunting vocal hook, vintage strings (and a couple of bleeps).”

Rhythm Is Changing (feat. LOWES) has been announced as the Hottest Record with Annie Mac on release for Monday 12th October.

High Contrast’s sixth studio album Notes from the Underground is out now.
