“Endlessly fascinating groove that rumbles with a thunderous boom, and soulful vocal capabilities through a top notch sound and visuals production which allow us to enjoy this loud! ”

-Nagamag.com

Like everyone else during the lockdown, Otosan’s lives were lived out online. But there’s always a silver lining…

This is where they discovered emerging Melbourne singer-songwriter Julia Lostrom on triple j Unearthed and knew they had to get her in on a session.

“We started scouring through triple j Unearthed for some amazing vocal talent, which is always our first go-to when looking for collaborators,” explain Otosan, aka Ryan Dickinson and Ultan Burke. “From the moment we heard Julia’s voice we knew she would be a perfect fit for the track. The first takes were recorded with Julia remotely in the first wave lockdowns in April and streamed on Instagram Live, then completed with a couple of real-life socially distanced recording sessions during a brief lifting of harsh restrictions in Melbourne.”

Vocalist Julia said, “I had just released my single ‘Walls’ on Unearthed and the Otosan guys thought my voice would suit their track, so they reached out and I loved it so much! It was so funny recording it virtually in the first lockdown and then we met up in the in-between stage between Melbourne’s strict lockdowns to record some parts and just got to hang out a bit. They’re such lovely guys.”

OTÔSAN are a multi talented New Zealand based duo who specialise in electronic music production, song writing and DJing.

After spending years perfecting their own individual talents, the newly formed duo linked up in 2017 and have hit the ground running, notching up critical acclaim and worldwide radio play from the very start.

Riding high on the back of a series of successful bootlegs and remixes, you can now catch them playing at some the biggest festivals across Australasia.

Arlø – Fall (Spotify)

Arlø of Tik Tok’s Cameo Club Goes Solo With Release of “Fall”

Dillon Scheel, the Deep House producer behind Cameo Club’s 2020 success, “Castaway,”

is launching a new solo project under the name Arlø. The track “Castaway” gained

momentum on Tik Tok last summer when it was featured in over 500 videos receiving

more than 8 million total views. It also amassed 2 Million Spotify Streams.

Arlø’s new track, “Fall,” carries the same dancefloor energy as “Castaway,” but contains

more of Dillon’s personal character. The song features Dillon’s own vocals, which are

honest and engaging, as well as soulful melodies and harmonies. As for his production,

Arlø offers tastefully crafted sounds that stand out from generic house production. “Fall”

makes you dance, but it also has real feeling. Its uplifting energy will elevate any party,

club, or event.

Arlø is using the COVID-19 lockdown as an opportunity to finish as much music as

possible. “It’s been kind of freeing to have no pressure on timing. I have been able to lock

into my creativity without feeling rushed.” “Fall” is the first of a string of singles he plans

to release in the coming months to establish his new Deep House brand.

BIOGRAPHY

Arlø is the stage name of singer/songwrtiter,

guitarist, and producer Dillon Scheel. Dillon is based

out of San Fransisco, California, where he grew up.

He is in his fourth and final year studying music

production at the Berklee College of Music.

Dillon trained as a jazz guitarist from the age of 10.

Then, while in high school, he developed a passion

for songwriting. He took inspiration from 70s pop

and disco artists that his parents were always

playing in the background. He really developed an

appreciation for the hits of artists like Stevie Wonder

and Earth Wind & Fire. Finally, at the age of 16, Dillon

fell in love with Electronic Dance Music after going to

the Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco.

Dillon brings his knowledge of jazz harmony and

his love for old school tunes to the modern dance

music scene. There’s a richness in harmony and

melody in every one of his tracks. His deep bass

production is a welcome contrast to offset the

catchy songwriting and it satisfies the listener’s

desire for that extra edge. The resulting

combination is addictive.

Arlø’s use of simplicity emphasizes the most

important elements of his productions: clear

vocal hooks and bass drops. There is a moment in

every Arlø track where the listener will stop and

ask “What song is that?”

Categories: Pop, The Latest, Video|Tags: , , , , |

“Taking very serious how to please you with the right grooves and deep upbeat vocals, When You Say It from Just Kiddin will fix instantly your mood with its hookiest qualities.”

-Nagamag.com

Following 130 million global streams across two ‘Future Anthems’ on BBC Radio 1 and a ‘Future Star’ accolade from Annie Nightingale, the fast rising house producers Just Kiddin now drop new atmospheric vocal house single ‘When You Say It’.

London indie imprint, Perfect Havoc, is proud to welcome respected house music duo Just Kiddin to the label with their latest release ‘When You Say It’ – one of three tracks to be released on Perfect Havoc as part of a global single deal. The Leeds-based producers, Lewis Thompson and Laurie Revell, join Perfect Havoc as it aims to build on its high-profile success of its UK No.1 single with Joel Corry and MNEK ‘Head & Heart’ (released in partnership with Asylum/Warner) and the top 20 hit with PS1 ft Alex Hosking ‘Fake Friends’. Officially released on 6th November, the new Just Kiddin single is an atmospheric vocal house offering that shows off the studio prowess of this one-to-watch outfit. Stream / buy ‘When You Say It’ now across all platforms:

Just Kiddin first appeared on Perfect Havoc in February 2019 remixing Joel Corry’s ‘Fallen’, however the pair began to turn heads prior to this with their 2014 summer anthem ‘Thinking About It’ via Parlophone’s dance imprint, FFRR. It received over 50 plays across BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra and over 13 million streams online.

Since then, Just Kiddin have gone on to achieve over 130 million streams globally with singles ‘Hysteria’ and ‘Body Talk’ which were both selected as Future Anthems by Danny Howard and MistaJam on BBC Radio 1. Further tastemaker supporters include Annie Mac and Pete Tong, and Just Kiddin won a Future Star accolade from Annie Nightingale.

As with previous releases, the new single features the constituent parts that’ve seen the Just Kiddin sound grow in popularity but this time with added drive and dimension. ‘When You Say It’ is a vocal house track at its core with climatic build and drop, yet what it so standout is how the blissed and delicate vocal works in harmony with the expertly crafted driving bass line. Just Kiddin have more of this up their sleeve with Perfect Havoc with the second single slated for January 2021.

Before the pandemic, Just Kiddin began making waves behind the decks as an established live act following numerous appearances at Ibiza Rocks and festivals including Boardmasters, V Fest, Splash House, Electric Forest and Miami Music Week. The pair are itching to be back on the stage once again and are already cooking up plans for a live return in 2021.

‘When You Say It’ marks yet another standout release for Perfect Havoc. Its breaking talent roster includes Joel Corry, Tobtok, Karen Harding, PS1, The Aston Shuffle, Mahalo, Eat More Cake and Parx. The label has hit half a billion global streams, has three UK Top 10 singles, and it currently holds the record for the longest-running No.1 single in 2020 in the UK with Joel Corry & MNEK ‘Head & Heart’. The label A&R’s have an acute ear for both underground and mainstream hits, licensing to labels including Atlantic Records, Big Beat, Columbia Records, RCA, Ministry of Sound, Polydor, Toolroom, Thrive and Astralwerks.

NOËP – On My Way (feat. CHINCHILLA) (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , , , |

“NOËP and CHINCHILLA with their new song -On My Way- under Perfect Havoc imprint deliver you, your next future house hit. Beautiful lush vocals and top notch production, including all the right ingriedients to become a pop house classic through its positive melodic vibes.”

-Nagamag.com

Hoxton based label Perfect Havoc welcome Estonian artist NOËP with his new single ‘On My Way’ featuring UK singer-songwriter CHINCHILLA. The pair solemnly mix house with chill/pop and deliver a beautiful piece of music alongside an incredible catchy and infectious vocal from both performers.

NOËP unites the disparate sounds of James Hersey, The Blaze and Rüfüs Du Sol in his adventurous hybrid of electro-pop energy and intimate songwriting. It’s a style that’s already made him a star in his homeland, where he won Pop Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards for his debut EP ‘Heads In The Clouds’, which also included the biggest airplay record of the year, ‘New Heights’ as it’s lead single.

When asked where he’s headed with the upcoming tracks, NOËP says that he believes getting stuck in just one type of sound can be limiting for artistic development, so it’s best to keep on moving, as states the title of his new single ‘On My Way’. The fresh banger talks about giving in to temptations with the added twist of suggesting that at times it can be good for you to do so. “Due to our society's norms and taboos, we may actually sacrifice some amazing moments and memorable experiences just to do the right thing,” explains NOËP.

Having directed several commercials, videos and films, NOËP has a drive to tell his own stories via music videos. As for most of his previous tracks, ‘On My Way’ is supported by a self-directed music video, playing around with the modern virtual reality world, bringing together the artist’s love for gaming and the message behind the new single. “I feel like my background as a film director influences a lot of my songwriting. The storytelling has a specific structure which is usually inspired by the aesthetics of film screenplays. A separate visual world entails with every track you write, generating a new reality.” The new video for ‘On My Way’, which merges the traditional lyric video format with virtual reality and modern storytelling, will be out on October 30th.

NOËP first came to attention with tracks ‘Move’, ‘Rooftop’ and ‘New Heights’, released through SONY Sweden, which have amassed 20 million streams on Spotify alone. His burgeoning reputation is growing internationally, with captivating live performances everywhere from Beirut to the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, to The Great Escape.

NOËP’s single ‘fk this up’, accompanied by a self-directed video, was licensed to Warner Music and soon became a top 5 airplay hit in Italy last year. While entering Spotify's Viral Charts in various international markets like GSA, France, Benelux and the UK, ’fk this up' has gained over 10 million streams and counting. The track features the rising UK pop artist CHINCHILLA and has been remixed by the legendary club DJ Benny Benassi. His latest single 'Young Boy', an uplifting banger about living your life to the fullest, was released together with a spectacular animated video in a post-apocalyptic world.

An interesting fact about NOËP is his passion for nature being one of the reasons that drives him as an artist, with a secret mission to one day set up his own private nature reserve. Focusing on a purpose greater than himself has helped him get through times of depression and anxiety. Besides caring for our planet some other interests of his are building wooden furniture and playing video games.

As an adventurous soul, he never says no to interesting projects like performing 170 m from the ground on top of the TV tower, at 2020 World Rally Championship opening show or actively taking part in World Cleanup Day campaigns, to name a few.

CHINCHILLA is 22 year old, London born singer, songwriter and producer. 2019 saw the launch of CHINCHILLA’s career and the release of a string of self-produced singles - ‘Elements’, ‘Fabulous’, ‘Demand Respect’ along with two collaborations - one with Estonian artist NOEP - ‘Fk This Up’ which amassed over 10 million streams and was in the Top 10 Shazam chart in Italy for 8 consecutive weeks, and the other with Brighton based artist Ren - ‘How To Be Me’. Now signed to Columbia Records (Sony) CHINCHILLA is setting up for 2021 and beyond.

TripL Interview on Nagamag

Nagamag:
What are the genres that describe better your music style?

TripL:
While we've been known a lot for our progressive house in the past, this year we've decided to explore different genres and been switching it up a bit with classic piano chords in the break and a future house style Hexagon drop in both our Dua Lipa Remix and Never Gonna Give You Up to explore new horizons, which is something which we gonna keep pushing in the near future.

Nagamag:
Few words about your musical background and career?

TripL:
We each had different musical background, Lior played the piano and listened to a wide range of music from an early age. He has
been DJing and producing music from the age of 15. while finishing “Muzik” college school as an honor student he was releasing a few “white label” remixes that got supported by big names like: Fedde La Grand, Dave Spoon, Hard Rock Sofa and many more. While Omri started his career when he was only 14 years old. An autodidact and a perfectionist
producer/mixing/mastering with sharp senses for sound design. Working as a music producer at “Mantra Music Productions” for the last 10 years with more than 500 remixes and original productions. His first release in the electronic scene happened way back in his youth, signing tracks at the German record label “Platten Bank” supported by Sasha and
John Digweed.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

TripL:
We actually started listening to club trance as kids. The good old Magic Sunrise compilations by Tiësto. Then we moved towards the house scene including legends like Axwell, Bob Sinclar and more. These days we're trying to explore more genres and decades of music. Gotta say that we're huge fans of the original disco and funk scene of the 70s! Pure music.

Nagamag:
How would you describe your latest release "Get On Down"?

TripL:
‘Get On Down’ invites you to adhere to the dancefloor-ready release’s mantra title from the jump-off, distorted house synths ushering in a deep, reverbed vocal that projects forth the hands-in-the-air, slinking house vibe before it’s even out of the gate – make no mistake these boys didn’t come to play. Fortifying their “Get On Down” topline that serves as the axis of the track for attitude-driven snaps of delivery and uplifting, vigorous energy to overtake like a tsunami.

Nagamag:
Can you please tell us what you guys been up to in recent times, how were you affected by the pandemic?

TripL:
We have been pretty busy actually, we were invited to take over guestmixes for a lot of renowned DJs such as Tigerlily and more. Still dealing with pandemic wasn’t easy and have lead to a lot of tours and festivals being cancelled, there was one in march that was affected the most. We were meant to play in front of 60,000 people known for being one of the biggest parties in the Middle East where we planned on premiering our new local hit, we made up for that with a livestreams full of IDs and Festival bangers. Despite all of that it didn’t prevent us from using the lockdown for the best and spend more time in the studio making a lot new music which “Get On Down” is just the tip of what’s yet to come. In addition we've released a Local pop hit called “Tamid Kadima” meaning always moving forward in Hebrew which talks about positivity and fit the current Covid-19 situation perfectly, the song received a lot of success with over million plays within the first two weeks, live morning shows performances and lots radio supports.

Nagamag:
Most artists have a favorite song from a different music genre than the one they are producing music for... Which is yours?

TripL:
Diplo & SIDEPIECE "On My Mind"

Nagamag:
Of Course Nagamag would love to listen also which track from a similar artist you admire?

TripL:
DJ Kuba & Neitan "Feel The Vibe (Keanu Silva Remix)"
