Pascal Junior – So Kind (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , |

“Pascal Junior with his new Future House/Deep House tune on Epic Tones Records is from that kind of tunes that you don't know in which part you can stand first to highlight for review. There is no doubt here for the top notch quality of production, the right selection of sounds, and the ongoing story which unfolds smart through the layering. While the vocals here and the melodic lines are like the spices on your favorite food, just making this tune explode the sound flavor to the listener's ears.”

Klangkarussell – Follow (Spotify)

Categories: Audio, House, The Latest|Tags: , , , |

“"Follow" this brilliant sound design of Klangkarussell & GIVVEN at Bias Beach Records, delivering a summer melancholy through their chill house beats. Dreamy warm vocals and lush reverbs with a groove that will make you move. A song that you want to end a great night at club.”

-Nagamag.com

Klangkarussell x GIVVEN’s ‘Follow’ drops almost a year to the day since Klangkarussell launched Bias Beachwith ‘Comoros’, their first single away from a major label deal that spawned hit singles ‘Sonnentanz’ and ‘Time’, and their debut album, ‘Netzwerk’. Going independent has proven to be a winning strategy: Klangkarussell nowhave over 2.75 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, spurred by the huge success of a run of singles, and Bias Beach has become home to other artistic configurations such as GIVVEN, who featured on ‘Ghostkeeper’and comprise Klang’s Adrian alongside Jordan and Nico.

Adrian and Tobi’s last single, ‘My World’ (feat. Kyle Pearce), and the accompanying short film, revisitedenvironmental issues that Klangkarussell have previously touched upon in their songs. This single joined ‘Shipwreck’ as a two-track release and has so far had over 3 million streams. Ahead of this came ‘Ghostkeeper’, their previous collaboration with GIVVEN, which has now hit over 7 million streams.

‘Comoros’ was Bias Beach’s debut release, and at the time Klangkarussell’s first new music in over 2 years. The burst of studio activity had followed a summer of standout festival performances and sold out headline shows that saw them play to crowds in the UK (sold out Night Tales London), Europe (including taking the Saturday night honours at Benicassim), Beirut and South America. This January, Tobi and Adrian played another sold out headline show at Night Tales London (which saw queues around the block), with further DJ dates in Europe and beyond. Forthcoming shows have been cancelled and rescheduled where possible due to coronavirus.

Klangkarussell, which translates to English as "Sound Carousel", were formed in Salzburg, Austria by Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held. Both respected producers in their own right, they first broke through with the jazz-tinged instrumental club record ‘Sonnentanz’, which reached the Top 10 singles chart in 6 different countries, including No.1 in The Netherlands. Like many dance artists faced with unexpected success, a record they’d written for their own DJ sets had taken on a life of it’s own, and when a vocal version - retitled ‘Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)’ and featuring British soul singer Will Heard - was released the following summer, the track charted in both the UK and Ireland, going on to become one of the biggest dance records of this decade (despite the pair shunning all publicity).

Following the success of ‘Sonnentanz’, the duo then released their second single, ‘Netzwerk (Falls Like Rain)’, featuring vocalist Tom Havelock, and which also became a hit. Klangkarussell’s debut album, ‘Netzwerk’, appeared soon after and sporting the singles ‘Hey Maria’ and ‘In the Crowd Alone’ appeared in 2016, followed by ‘Time’, ‘Circuits’, and ‘Good to Go’ in 2017. Musically, and with the type of creative freedom they had during their initial rise to fame, both Tobi and Adrian have entered a new decade exactly where they want to be.

“Loyal from DVBBS, is a gem taken from their 9 track album "Nothing To See Here" at Ultra Records. Playful chords, rich vocals and pumping euphoric vibes set ome of the grooviest and soulful beats around.”

It delivers all the sounds they have become known and loved for, from the groovy and soulful vibes of "Swim" and "Loyal" to the dancefloor-ready beats of "Jackin'" and "Wrong About You." Listeners will recognize past hits "GOMF," "Need U," and "Somebody Like You," which all play a part in telling the story of this past year's experiences through the boys' eyes. The release of "Nothing To See Here" comes hot on the heels of DVBBS's single "No Time" with Wiz Khalifa and Cheat Codes, proving that the duo's style is as well versed as ever and always evolving.

"'Nothing To See Here' has been a project we've been unraveling for the last year, that digs deeper into our life with productions and songwriting that paint a vivid picture of what experiences we were going through." - DVBBS

Few producers have risen to the top in the electronic music scene as quickly as DVBBS, who captured the industry's attention with hits like "Tsunami" and "Not Going Home" and never let it go. The Canadian brothers Alex and Christopher have been continuously cultivating their sound since their debut in 2012, and have racked up an impressive display of collaborations with renowned names from diverse musical backgrounds. From hip hop superstar Juicy J to the NERVO twins, DVBBS continues to prove there's nothing they can't accomplish. The brothers have played everywhere from Lollapalooza to Tomorrowland, though they've been busy in the studio during the global pandemic. Keep an eye out for more new music from DVBBS coming to airwaves near you!

His tracks have been supported by Bolier, Lost Frequencies, and many more. Since the beginning of 2020 Boeuv has already achieved having more than one million streams across all streaming services.

Nagamag:
Do you remember your first connection of love to music that was the right impact to be a music artist now?

Boeuv:
I was 14-years-old when I first got into Electronic Dance Music by listening to Hardwell and coming across to some of the Tomorrowland live sets on YouTube. That light the spark to get into EDM. Since then, I started producing many genres with the help of countless tutorials from the internet and after a while, I started releasing my own music on some small labels. 6 years later, my alias is taking the structure that I like by achieving new goals and having releases on some of the biggest labels.

Nagamag:
What is the part that you give the most attention when you producing a track?

Boeuv:
Most of the time, I tend to give more detail to the atmosphere-ambiance of the track and the vocals. Another important part of a production is the melody of the track which has to be as memorable as possible since that's one of the main reasons that will make the listener come back to your track again and again.

Nagamag:
What is your main goal for 2020?

Boeuv:
My main goal is to release as many tracks as I possibly can and try to experiment with even more genres. I feel like trying new techniques in your productions is one of the greatest things that a producer can try since music has no limits.

Nagamag:
Most artists have a favorite song from a different music genre than the one they are producing music for... Which is yours?

Boeuv:
Agnes Obel "Fuel to Fire - Deezer Session"

Nagamag:
Of Course Nagamag would love to listen also which track from a similar artist you admire?

Boeuv:
Josh Bogert, Laust, Um41K "Can't Say Why"
