Grey Magic – Jay Gudda
“Old school vibe that hit you instantly with the first sounds, this song creates wonderful world of nostalgia. Sample skills and sounds, everything is done marvelously. Lead vocal is so catchy and produced really well. Darker atmosphere and smooth beats takes this song to another level, like a voyage to the past.”

Lyrics of Jay Gudda – Grey Magic
(Yikes, too groovy, shit)
I don’t get it (Wake up)
(Too groovy, man)
Look, look
Ring Around the Rosie, pocket full with an O-Z
He’s been actin’ nosey, talkin’ loud like he knows me
Should I get all exposey? Or should I just take the dough and leave?
And if I don’t show my hand, what’d be below my sleeve?
You know it’s me, but I noticed that you ain’t notice me
We both know it’s weak, but don’t speak ‘cause I ain’t got no receipts (Yeah)
Pussy, hold your queef, don’t push me, I’m known to tweak (Don’t push me)
They booked me, the show was free, and nobody’d show up but me
Hoe, preach, roll up some kief, bitch natural as my leaf
She’s like, “Actually, that ain’t me. I was fat and had surgery”
Now it’s cash and new Birkin sprees, new purse, and it’s burgundy
“What hurts is you judging me,” I’m like, “Yeah, bitch. You up a tree”
Jeez, holy smokes, the Backwoods like, “Pull me close” (Do it)
The pack’s If You Know You Know, the stash is on overflow (Oh)
My ego still come and go, Am I evil? Or am I slow? (I don’t know)
Got demons that take control, can’t feed ‘em in case they grow (Oh)
I need ‘em to fuck and go (Go)
I need ‘em to fuckin’ go (Go)
I teach her to suck it gross, releasing what’s up her throat (Oh)
She fiending ‘cause I’m the most, I’m dreamy, she comatosed,
Believe me, I know I’m fucked, she leave me, I’ll overdose (Oh)
Oh, hoe (Off what?)
I guess that’s it (Anyway, shit)
(Somethin’ like that, yeah, I don’t know)
Look, look
Ring Around the Rosie, pocket full with an O-Z
He’s been actin’ nosey, talkin’ loud like he knows me
Should I get all exposey? Or should I just take the dough and leave? (No, no, no)
And if I don’t show my hand, what’d be below my sleeve?
(You feel that)
What else did I have in this mothafucka, man?
Leave my phone and keys in the whip when I wish they would
And I’m really wishin’ for good, but they really wishin’ they could (Don’t explain)
Don’t explain when it’s understood
(Alright)
My phone and keys in the whip, when I still believe in some shit (Fuck)
You get it

This song was inspired by Manly Hall’s book, Magic: A Treatise on Natural Occultism. Hall defines Grey Magic as “the unconscious or subconscious perversion of power.” The visuals for this single are a mixture of my self-reflections and a bit of “music video magic” to show that perhaps the perversion of power is more common than we think..
