Kim Åge Furuhaug (Orions Belte) – Jangle Med

“Like an evening spent with melodic angels who transpose among the clouds. The delicious natural bassline fits the freethought expressed by the piano. The tempo increases and we let our mind wonder among the various interpretations. ”

For Orions Belte it has always been about bringing all the ideas to the table. It could be a weird song idea, taking a tune in a totally different direction, orcollaborating with other artists. When the idea for the indie-leaning freak funkers came up to do three solo albums, it somehow made perfect sense for them.

With each member contributing a full album to the box set out November 18th via Jansen Records, the one that will be releasing in conjunction with the set is from drummerKim Åge and goddam, brace yourself for the left turn he makes.

It's a straight up jazz album, perhaps the furthest away from Orions universe but most definitely making sense in the overall orbit. Recorded with some ofthe best jazzmusicians from Norway such as Ole Morten Vågan and Andreas Ulvo, and written and produced together with Matias Tellez, who produced the latestgirl in redalbum, his solo offeringFuruhaugis truly unforgettable.
