Artist shared with us few words behind this song
“My single Good Vibes comes from my Jamaican influence and culture. Good Vibes is a more dancehall, pop world music vibe. Some years ago, I kept saying to myself, I want to make world music. I actually forgot I said this until my Good Vibes music video which was filmed in Kingston, Jamaica won 2 of 5 categories nominated in the California Music Video Awards Festival. Good Vibes won Best Choreography and Best World Music which is what reminded me of what I would tell myself some years ago. I have much more of this sound that Iam excited to release in the future along with some hip hop feel good music like my current single Slip N Slide!” – King P

ABOUT THE ARTIST
King P (born Phillip Solomon Stewart in Miami, Florida) is a Jamaican-rooted Hip Hop artist and multi-instrumentalist residing in Tallahassee, Florida, who delivers an unmatched level of energy through his Dancehall flair. Phillip’s musical track record dates back to the early ‘90s when he was both singing in the school choir and concomitantly picking up seven plus instruments, such as drums, trumpet, clarinet, violin, keyboard, oboe, and all saxophone variations.
While studying at the Florida A&M University, he got recruited by Kendall “Ken Jo” Johnson, a Grammy award winning producer, to lay the saxophone track for Ludacris’s Woozy record. King P also scored the high profile job of Assistant Head Drum Major for Prince’s Superbowl XLI Halftime Show in 2007.
After two very successful Gospel albums, Stand and I Need You Now, King P decided to settle on a Dancehall-infused Hip Hop sound as part of his newfound commercial affinity. Respectively, he released Good Vibes, which was awarded The Best World Music (and Best Choreography) by the California Music Video Awards Film Festival in February 2020. The music video garnered over 150k views and was followed by an even more popular release, Put It On Repeat, that has amassed over 300k views. The artist and professional saxophone player filmed the music video for his newest single, Slip N Slide on March 29, 2021 in Miami, which (the song) has already been released and warmly received by his fans on streaming platforms. Slip N Slide official music video will premier on May 28, 2021 Memorial Day Weekend!
