MacArthur Maze – San Pablo Dam

“A truly special melody with emotion, depth and with an anger trying to find a way out. Beautiful and exuberant vocals express their intense emotions and manage to bring us an air of liberation. The rhythm dynamic and rushing to us in a state of agony that seems tempting.” *

The rising Bay Area crew MacArthur Maze delivers the slick and stylish new video for “San Pablo Dam,” a stunning display of lyricism and production that serves as the third single off the group’s upcoming album.

For those unfamiliar with the MacArthur Maze, they’re a collective of emcees, producers, deejays, musicians and visuals artists comprised of JANE HANDCOCK, Champ Green, Ian Kelly, Roux Shankle, D. Bledsoe, Blvck Achilles, Nobl, SK, Basta and DJ D Sharp who you may know as the DJ for the Golden State Warriors. And while the black-and-white “San Pablo Dam” visuals are certainly a family affair, the track itself showcases the talents of Champ, D. Bledsoe, Blvck Achilles, and D Sharp.

D Sharp’s head-nodding production as the backdrop for his three rapping cohorts, who demonstrate their own personal charisma and distinctive lyrical gifts. It’s all captured by NOBL, whose editing and filming technique makes for an intimate viewing experience as you watch “San Pablo Dam,” which may just be the group’s best single yet.
