It is a very personal story but at the same time a relatable topic for many people around the world. Martin sings about the struggles on how to love yourself first, and the desire of being a better version of yourself. This song is very close to his heart en really hits you as a listener!
Hailing from the Netherlands, 24-year-old Martijn Roggeveen, aka Martin Jasper is a singer-songwriter in heart and soul. In 2017, he got the chance of a lifetime, picked up on Instagram and scored a deal with the American publisher The Bus. Flying to Nashville to seal the deal, what followed this was an intense period in which Martin attended studios in Los Angeles, London, Nashville, Philadelphia and more places to write music. During these productive sessions, he had the opportunity to work alongside Sacha Skarbec (Adele, James Blunt, Miley Cyrus), Pete Stewart (Macklemore) among others.
