Misty River – The Long Run

“In this Folk Americana piece "Misty River" highlights the crucial role of lasting love. During the journey of life most feelings tend to fade away, but the truest ones stay there. Wonderful acoustic sound, decorated with a silvery voice.”

Burgeoning country and Americana artist Misty River has released the rootsy, infectious new track "The Long Run," which premiered earlier this week via BBC Radio. Anthemic and heartfelt, "The Long Run" serves as a declarative oath to hold onto love -- even if the path forward seems uncertain. The release of Misty River's stellar new single proceeds an upcoming appearance on Rissi Palmer's Color Me Country podcast on Apple Music. Listen or stream "The Long Run" here.

"The Long Run" follows a stream of praise from outlets and tastemakers from across both the US and UK for Misty River, following the release of her 2021 debut record Promises. Blending elements of traditional roots music with fresh and soulful Americana, Promises includes the captivating “Take This Dance,” which has been featured on the soundtracks of both the Oscar-winning film A Phone Call and the award-winning Netflix documentary A Secret Love. It also includes the acclaimed single "Walk Me To The River," which has received radio play on BBC Radio 2 and Absolute Radio Country, placements on Spotify's official "Fresh Finds Folk" and "Women of Folk" playlists, along with coverage from The Bluegrass Situation, Holler, Black Opry, Americana UK, and Rissi Palmer of AppleMusic Radio/Color Me Country.

Misty River just wrapped up a successful trip to Folk Alliance 2022 in Kansas City, Kansas, where she was featured as a Spotlight Showcasing Artist. This June, she'll perform at Black Deer Festival as a part of their all-star 2022 lineup, which also includes Wilco, Drive-By Truckers, Van Morrison, Cam, Shovels & Rope, Hiss Golden Messenger and many more. Additional tour dates are to be announced in the coming weeks.
